• This week multipliers for Blast were unlocked, meaning everyone using the L2 could 4x their points. At first glance, more points seem great, but this means points get heavily diluted. Blast Gold on the other hand has a much lower supply and accounts for 50% of the BLAST token airdrop.

• All the games that were winners (or nominated as runner-ups) of the Blast Big Bang competition received Gold, or will still receive it.

• Sam Bankman-Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He was convicted of stealing $8 billion from customers of his FTX cryptocurrency exchange. 

• Vitalik Buterin outlined the upcoming stages of Ethereum’s simplification efforts, dubbed "The Purge."This initiative seeks to streamline the Ethereum protocol by minimizing historical data storage demands, thereby alleviating the strain on node operators' hard drives and substantially reducing the technical debt linked with the protocol. 

• Grayscale announced it is launching a "dynamic income fund" that will focus on investing in proof-of-stake tokens and is for accredited investors with a net worth of at least $2.2 million. 

• Blackrock's CEO Larry Fink suggests the possibility of an Ethereum ETF, even in the event of the SEC categorizing ETH as a security. 

• Galaxy Digital is establishing a $100 million fund for early-stage cryptocurrency startups and will funnel upwards of $1 million into each of as many as 30 startups over three years. 

• Wormhole a cross-chain bridge, commenced an airdrop program where early users were rewarded with 617 million of its recently issued governance token, W.
