• Ripple's new stablecoin, RLUSD, has officially launched on several global crypto exchanges, including Bitso, Uphold, CoinMENA, MoonPay, and Archax.

  • The dollar-backed stablecoin is compatible with the Ethereum blockchain and the XRP ledger. 

• The Federal Reserve has lowered interest rates by 0.25% to a target range of 4.25%- 4.5%. 

  • While this move was widely expected, the Fed's future rate-cutting plans remain uncertain, given persistent inflation and solid economic growth. 

• Avalanche has successfully implemented its major upgrade, Avalanche 9000. This upgrade aims to significantly improve the network's efficiency and scalability.

  • Avalanche has been preparing for the Avalanche 9000 upgrade for several months. This upgrade aims to reduce transaction fees, validator costs, and the overall cost of building applications on the network. 

• MicroStrategy has added 15,350 Bitcoin to its holdings, bringing its total Bitcoin stash to 439,000 BTC. 

  • These recent purchases were made at an average price of approximately $100,386 per Bitcoin. With a total investment of $27.1 billion, MicroStrategy continues to demonstrate its commitment to Bitcoin as a long-term investment.

• Texas is considering legislation to establish a state-level bitcoin reserve.

  • This move aims to strengthen the state's financial position and position Texas as a leader in bitcoin innovation. 

• The highly anticipated golf exhibition, "The Showdown," took place in Las Vegas this week. 

  • Adding a unique twist, the $10 million prize purse was distributed in crypto, a first for a major golf tournament. Crypto.com, the title sponsor and Singapore-based crypto exchange, will award the winnings in CRO, the platform's native token (Cronos).
