  • PlaysOut raised $7M in a Seed Round to build out its Web3 mini-game SDK platform

  • Kamigotchi raised $1.3M in a Seed round for their fully onchain idle MMORPG

• Sugartown announced its WIN token

  • The game recently migrated to Abstract and airdropped a large collection to 130K+ wallets on there last week

• Revolving Games shared its 2025 roadmap (RCADE TGE on May 22)

  • Other than the token, they announced an expansion of Hatchlings and the launch of Project Nova in May

📈Macro Cryptocurrency News

• The U.S. Senate voted to repeal an IRS rule requiring decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols to report to the agency, marking a significant win for the crypto industry.

  • This reduces regulatory burdens, boosting optimism for DeFi projects on blockchains like Solana, Hyperliquid, and Ethereum, and aligns with the SEC’s recent shift in dropping lawsuits against major crypto entities.

• LaunchLab, Raydium’s new Solana token launchpad, launched recently, shortly after pump.fun, a popular memecoin platform, began developing its own AMM, ending their informal partnership.

  • LaunchLab offers linear, exponential, and logarithmic bonding curves for token pricing and allows third-party UIs to set their fees.

• The Federal Reserve maintained steady interest rates, projecting two cuts in 2025 while navigating the challenges of rising inflation and a slowing economy amid President Trump’s escalating trade/tariff war.

  • Despite recent tariffs on imports and plans for further duties, the Fed adopted a cautious, wait-and-see stance to evaluate their impact.

• A Bitcoin whale closed a $516 million, 40x leveraged short position on 6,210 Bitcoin, betting on a price decline ahead of the FOMC meeting. 

  • The move, which netted nearly $10 million in profit, highlights the high risks of leveraged trading, where borrowed funds amplify both gains and losses.

• Alphabet (Google) announced its largest-ever acquisition, purchasing the fast-growing cybersecurity startup Wiz for $32 billion.

  • The deal bolsters Google’s cloud unit, enhancing its cybersecurity offerings to compete with Amazon and Microsoft in the cloud-computing market.

• Solana futures debuted on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group’s U.S. derivatives platform on March 17, marking a milestone in their mainstream acceptance.

  • In February, CME announced its intention to introduce two SOL futures contract types: standard contracts for 500 SOL and smaller “micro” contracts for 25 SOL, catering to retail investors.

• Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood announced her intention to tokenize the firm's funds on the blockchain once U.S. regulations permit, aiming to capitalize on the growing trend of asset tokenization. 

  • She highlighted the potential for funds like ARKVX to be brought on-chain, signaling optimism about crypto’s role in traditional finance amid a clearer regulatory landscape.

• Ethena Labs and Securitize launched Converge, a new blockchain integrating DeFi with tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), aiming to bridge institutional finance and DeFi with improved capital efficiency and compliance for retail and institutional investors.

• The Uniswap community approved two governance proposals under the "Uniswap Unleashed" plan to boost the growth of Unichain Layer 2 and Uniswap v4 through a new grants program and liquidity incentives. These proposals pave the way for activating the long-awaited "fee switch.”
